National Windrush Day is celebrated on 22 June, on the day that passengers disembarked. A National Windrush Day was announced by the then Prime Minister in 2018 ahead of the 70th anniversary, however Windrush Day has been marked in the community for many years. A set of eight Special Stamps celebrating the 75th anniversary of the arrival of MV Empire Windrush to the UK. Featuring original illustrations, created exclusively for Royal Mail by 5 Artists celebrating the contribution of the Windrush generation to the UK over the past 75 years.
